First off, Happy Independence Day from The Sonnet House! We hope everyone is gearing up for at least a couple of days rest. The Sonnet House crew will be in the office today, July 3rd, closed tomorrow, July 4th, and we will have limited hours on Friday, July 5th as we begin preparing for this weekend’s events. Hey, Sydney + Eric, you guys ready to get married?

The past few weeks have been crazy busy as we have obviously wrapped up Spring wedding season and have been working hard to finalize our Summer ones, and last but not least, we have been touring and books with lots of amazing 2020 couples. We seriously cannot wait to show you guys what 2020 is bringing to the table.

But enough about us, let’s talk about Susie + Ryan! These two have the most contagious smiles. That mixed with the spectacular Alabama sunshine on a Saturday afternoon in May is a beautiful, beautiful thing. Breanna Fogg Photography did a great job behind the lens that day while Harrison Terrabella manned the video. A friend of Susie’s, Mary Payne Watson, took care of the hair and make up.

Corey Daniel Florals hit another homerun with Susie’s neutral floral color palette with pops of French blue. Her bridal bouquet was a very loose and relaxed gathering of garden roses, ranunculus, peonies, thistle, spray roses, olive leaf, eucalyptus, and ruscus. Other flowers used throughout the wedding day were tweedia, dusty miller, light blue delphinium, stock, and white limonium.

DJ Andy of Brian Snyder Entertainment in Nashville, Tennessee entertained guests during dinner and the reception. After dining on the likes of Carolina Shrimp and Grits, smoked gouda mac n cheese, Thai peanut chicken, grilled summer vegetables, and a guest fave: a dip station, guests were treated to not only a semi-naked cake from Gigi’s Cupcakes but also delicious ice cream from Big Spoon Creamery. Pro Tip: We often tell our couples that wedding favors aren’t necessary when you’ve provided your guests with an experience they won’t forget. Great entertainment, delicious food, and savory surprises like gourmet ice cream local to the city cannot be beaten.

We wish you nothing but years and years of happiness, congratulations Susie + Ryan!
