The Sonnet House has been very patiently waiting for the opportunity to share Ginny + Gina’s big day that we loved so very dearly. Ginny is the childhood best friend of our Florist and Co-Owner, Corey Hults. You know him as the mind behind our floral department, but Ginny knows him as the best friend she grew up with that was always by his side.
Under the guise of coming by The Sonnet House to see a photo shoot that Corey was doing, Ginny was surprised by Gina welcoming her to a room filled with flowers including an arbor draped in romantic roses. Oh, and an engagement ring of course! It was at that moment that the planning began and we’re so thrilled to be able to finally share the beautiful photos from Bang Images with you guys.
Corey Daniel Florals really outdid it with the decor. Bright and cheerful fall tones complimented everything that the great outdoors in Alabama offers in late October. Ginny + Gina each carried lush bouquets of roses, calla lilies, thistle, eucalyptus, solidago, sunflowers, craspedia, hypericum berries, and stock. Overflowing florals poured from the ceremony mantel while drapery with cascading greenery and gold lanterns lined the bridal entrance. Even the wedding cake from Magnificent Cakes rested atop a bed of antique green hydrangea.
While it was a chilly night, guests danced the night away in our courtyard thanks to On Site Productions who took care of both the ceremony and reception music. The night was topped off with a surprise late night snack of cheeseburgers followed by the newlyweds being whisked away in Caroline, a 1959 Jaguar Mk.IX Saloon from Coats Classic Cars.
Our couples know that they become family, but Ginny + Gina already were. It was a pleasure being a part of such a perfect day and we look forward to many years of celebrating!
After the wedding, Ginny left this thoughtful review on Wedding Wire:
If you are looking for a venue, look no further! The Sonnet House is not only beautiful but the staff will make you feel like a million bucks! Everything they did for our wedding was done with the most incredible style and professionalism. I went in expecting everything to be great but was totally blown away with how amazing every single detail was. My family and friends are still talking about it! I have been told by so many that is was the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended. The food was delish! The flowers were out of this world! And I did not have to stress or worry about a thing, Ellen , Jared, and Corey are nothing short of magnificent. If I could give 100 stars instead of 5 I would. Job well done!
