The Sonnet House is a wedding venue that is unique from others in this area. Not only do we have three fabulous options for outdoor ceremonies but we also have a “little” white chapel that can seat up to 230 guests comfortably for an indoor ceremony. We also have the pleasure of hosting weddings that vary in size from 35 guests up to 500 guests and we were the perfect fit for Haley + Gary’s intimate Sunday afternoon wedding this past June.
Haley is a working mom and her lovely mother, Susan, gladly took on the majority of wedding planning duties. We came highly recommended to Susan and during the tour she told us they were looking into local wedding photographers Kelli + Daniel Taylor Photography. They’re one of our favorite photography duos and we were thrilled for another opportunity to work with them.
The bride dazzled in a beaded ballroom wedding gown from David’s Bridal while her bridesmaids wore vibrant pink dresses from Lilly Pulitzer. Gary and his groomsmen donned soft gray suits. Haley + Gary’s invitations and programs featured beautiful calligraphy and since it was a warm summer afternoon, handheld fans were also out for guests to cool off with. The bride’s cake, from Edgar’s Bakery, was displayed on an antique gold cake stand which was rented from Argent Antiques in Homewood, Alabama.
It was a pleasure working with you and your families and we wish you all the happiness in the world!
