If you haven’t noticed by now, Ann Wade Parrish Photography shoots quite a few weddings at The Sonnet House! She is a consistent favorite among our brides and us. She came on board for Jessica + Chris’s fall wedding and the results are to die for.
Jessica had an all-star crew of vendors including family friend Gina Matson who did all of the flowers. This was no small task considering there were 12 bridesmaids and 12 groomsmen! The Sonnet House catered heavy hors d’oeuvres, and Magic Muffins in Cahaba Heights designed a beautiful, brushed bride’s cake while Pastry Art Bake Shoppe did the delicious baby bites. A string trio, Cahaba River Strings, played during the ceremony and The Undergrounders by Music Garden handled the reception music.
Let’s talk about the glamour: On Jessica’s wedding day, we posted a photo of her wedding dress on our Instagram page and immediately got more likes than any of our other photos. Why? Because it was amazing. Jessica attended a Justin Alexander trunk show at Diane’s Formal Affair in Jasper, Alabama. She didn’t find quite what she wanted so she did what every girl dreams of and created a custom design. The dress itself was a Justin Alexander gown from the 2014 collection, but it was strapless and lacked details that were important to her such as lace, sleeves, and buttons. So the wonderful ladies at Diane’s helped her find a stunning Pronovias lace jacket to sew onto the dress, then added buttons all the way down the back. The end result was a show stopping dress that even impressed the designers at Justin Alexander to the point they have designed a similar style for the 2015 collection. Local hair and makeup artist, Jackie Robinson, of Rawwbeauty did a wonderful job!
