We know we say this every year, but time flies when you’re having fun. The Sonnet House is wrapping up the last of our Summer weddings and finalizing all the exciting details for tons of upcoming Fall events. Now that we’ve had a chance to slow down a little and catch our breath we are finally picking back up being able to share more of our 2017 galleries.
It is embarrassing that we’re just now getting to Amanda + Matt’s Memorial Day Weekend wedding but we couldn’t not highlight it! Their day was special for so many reasons. Working with Amanda and her family, especially her amazing sister Tiffany, was a real treat. Family was huge to Amanda + Matt, pun intended, and they included all of their nieces and nephews as ring bearers and flower girls.
Their wedding was also our first opportunity to work with the fabulous husband and wife team of Rachel & Noah Ray. We’ve been fortunate enough since Amanda + Matt’s wedding day to work with them several other times and y’all, their work is always jaw dropping. If you’re still on the search for a wedding photographer we strongly recommend getting in touch!
Birmingham hair and make up artist Brittany Speer Scoggins styled Amanda and each of her bridesmaids to perfection. Amanda’s sisters wore beaded gowns while her bridesmaids wore floor length chiffon dresses in shades of taupe and blush. The bride found “the one” at Diane’s Formal Affair and it was designed by Kitty Chen Couture. Corey Daniel Florals created lush garden bouquets in shades of peach, ivory & soft green. The ceremony and reception flowers were also a loose, garden style and accented with gold mercury glass and romantic candle light.
Amanda’s wedding cake from Barb’s Cakes was a lovely traditional brushed buttercream design while one tier was marbled peach with the couple’s monogram. When guests weren’t dining on delicious food or chasing it with a signature cocktail, they were on the dance floor enjoying the music from one of our favorite DJs, Chace from On Site Productions.
We have enjoyed reliving your big day and can’t thank you both enough for choosing The Sonnet House!
