It’s almost Fall and we are so excited for our upcoming weddings and possibly even a little cooler weather, is anyone else ready for that too? The Sonnet House has had a big summer — our in-house florist, Corey Daniel Florals, has finished construction on their new workshop and they’re currently booking off site weddings into the 2019-2020 season. If you love the look of Sonnet House flowers but have chosen another venue, give Corey and Alan a call soon to discuss what they can do for you!
We’re also thrilled to announce that we were named a finalist in the Best of Birmingham in the Birmingham Magazine 2018 Reader’s Poll! Our crew here absolutely loves what we do and consider ourself the luckiest folks on Earth to be able to make our couple’s dreams come true week after week. Words can’t express how thankful we are for our brides, grooms, their families and friends, and the numerous vendors that go into executing weddings year round. This year marks The Sonnet House’s 100th Birthday and 10th full year in business and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate.
Enough about us and more about Taylor + Chandler’s romantic bohemian inspired wedding and reception last Spring. Taylor knew from the beginning that she wanted an eclectic feel overall for the day and the design choices she made supported her vision perfectly. First, she brought in Southern wedding photographer, Alyssa Rose Photography, who splits her time between Birmingham and Atlanta but is happy to travel anywhere. Alyssa has a candid style of shooting and uses natural light to her advantage. Combined with the woodland vibe Taylor was going for, her photos captured the magic of their big day in the best way possible.
Taylor wore a stunning gown from Ivory & White while her bridesmaids wore floor length sage dresses from Show Me Your Mumu in multiple styles. One of our favorite Hair and Make Up Artists, Danielle Ivy Chiepalich who owns Hair & Make Up by Danielle Ivy, was on site to make sure all of the ladies in Taylor’s life looked flawless. We always recommend having a professional hair and make up artist take care of you on your wedding day, especially if you are getting married in the Spring or Summer where the rain chances are strong and humidity is likely. Corey Daniel Florals provided all of the beautiful blooms throughout the day, but would you stop and take a moment to appreciate those lovely rose and eucalyptus floral crowns? To die for.
Taylor + Chandler, thank you for letting us be a part of your beginning, it was a pleasure working with your and your families!
