One of the things The Sonnet House enjoyed most about Emily + Jesse’s wedding is the overall vision Emily had for their big day. While blogs, Pinterest, and social media played a large role in the inspiration, Emily didn’t hesitate to think outside of the box and even ask our advice on what she could do different than what brides had done before. Obviously the end results were ah-mazing. From classic, Southern wedding decor to glam, sequin table linens, Emily + Jesse’s day had it all.
After reserving The Sonnet House Emily did the smartest thing possible — she hired J. Woodbery Photography. If you’re still looking for a wedding photographer and you prefer someone who is laid back, fun to be around, and will capture every little detail of your wedding day we strongly recommend heading over to Jennifer’s website.
Emily wore a stunning Allure Bridals gown from Bella’s Bridal in Hoover, Alabama while her bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses in blush tones. Her Matron of Honor was her sister who wore a beautiful rose gold sequin dress. The glitz and glamour didn’t stop with the fashion. It carried its way throughout the day including the reception. Each table was draped in champagne lamour linens while the buffet, hi-boys, entrance table, and desserts were adorned in sequined cloths.
We knew from the beginning that florals were extremely important to Emily and her mom. (You don’t hear us complaining!) Corey Daniel Florals knocked it out of the park, no doubt. Our favorite part was definitely the ceremony pergolas draped in white fabric with crystal chandeliers, with jaw-dropping floral cuffs. Go ahead, scroll back to take another look.
Hilde with Magnificent Cakes created the custom wedding for Emily + Jesse. Emily had found photos of several cakes she liked but none she loved overall. Hilde took Emily’s vision of each thing she liked from each cake and created a beautiful confection which has already inspired numerous cake designs for our 2017 brides.
We cannot begin to thank you enough for choosing us for your lovely outdoor wedding, we wish you nothing but happiness in your future!
