September weddings are some of our favorites at The Sonnet House. The weather is great, the landscaping is beautiful, and you can go with almost any color palette! Sarah + Justin had their wedding ceremony at the stage and had a seated dinner on the patio. The Sonnet House provided food and flowers and the wedding cakes were done by Publix.
We are often asked what wedding photographers we work with most often and it seems like year after year the answer is Simple Color Photography. What can we say, our brides have great taste! Brandon + Stacey Gresham are a pleasure to work with and their photos are simply gorgeous.
Sarah and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done just up the street at Morgan Ashley Salon. Our favorite string musicians, Cahaba River Strings, played for the ceremony, and Feel the Beat Entertainment kept guests on the dance floor throughout the wedding reception. Guests were shuttled from their hotels by Cline Tours. Sarah + Justin departed the reception in style in a vintage limousine from Birmingham Bridal Carriages.
Corey worked with Sarah to design a fall palette of flowers including dahlias, roses, scabiosa pods, dusty miller, and mini calla lilies. A mixture of mercury glass and lanterns were used for guest table centerpieces. String lights from AG Lighting set the mood for dinner and the reception. Don’t they make the couple’s first dance more romantic?
Everyone always says at least one thing will go wrong on your wedding day, and unfortunately that’s usually true. Sometimes you have to make the best of it and Sarah + Justin certainly did. Their officiant accidentally skipped over the exchanging of the rings during their ceremony. When the ceremony was over we simply pulled the couple and the Maid of Honor and Best Man to the side and the ring ceremony was performed. As you can see from their smiles it will be a story they tell for a while.
